Host and Producer of The Total
Education Network Neil Haley Announces The Total Education Network 5 Year
Anniversary
The “Total Education Network” is now 5 years old, proudly celebrating
its 5-year anniversary. On December 8th 2009, “The Total Education Network”
had their first pilot show in the studios of WRCT 88.3 FM in Pittsburgh.
Neil Haley is the CEO of Total Tutor, as well as the owner,
host, and producer of the Total Education Network.
“I didn’t know what to expect when my wife and I recorded our
first show. I decided to create an education talk show just to have a podcast”
says Haley.
Five years later, Haley grew the network to what it is
today. The network is syndicated on 120
plus stations and has a listening and viewing audience of 2.5 million people a
week.
Haley learned very early that this kind of show is unlike any
other education talk show on the market.
Originally, Haley produced and hosted one live show a week during his first year in radio. “I really experimented in the studios of WRCT. If you listen to my first two years hosting and producing the Total Education Hour, I would interview educators, authors, brands, and commercial products, celebrities and have debates. ‘It was so fun doing it live. You never knew what to expect.’”
One year into his radio career he searched for a way he could do
the show from his home. “I wanted to do radio from my home so I could
create content at anytime. I stumbled onto BlogTalk Radio, which started my Internet
radio experience. Now I had the ability to do radio at anytime, and I was hooked.
I started doing a show daily while interviewing many amazing people.”
Things got interesting when he hired a syndicator. “I was very
motivated to syndicate my show when my booker told me my show could get
syndicated. The show continued to grow and flourish through the years and to
where we are today.”
Three years into the network, Neil decided to create themes for
each show. Some of them were education based and two of the other shows became
the Author’s Corner, and the Total Celebrity Show.
Neil continued to have success with his education talk which was
named “Best Education Podcast” by “Education World”. In addition, his author's
show was internationally recognized as “One of the Best Independent Authors Shows.”
Neil’s was asked to cover the “Miami International Book Fair” because of his
successful show. “I have interviewed Best
Selling and Award Winning Authors for four years before the book fair.”
Neil has interviewed some of the most interesting celebrities. “I’ve
had the opportunity to interview NFL, MLB, and NBA legends. I have interviewed
WWE and WCW superstars. I’ve also interviewed many other celebrities in TV and
film. “My celebrity interview list can’t be compared to many independent
broadcasters. Many of them do not have the celebrity interview list then I
have. I do try to infuse education into every one of my celebrity interviews,
giving a different perspective of education from notable figures in our
country.”
